As of January 2025, all ProMonitoring Aligner Kits now include an adapter for the ScanBox Pro that will help new patients with certain iPhone models take higher-quality scans.
We received feedback that some patients were unable to properly align their cheek retractor tube with their rear-facing camera array. These patients were still able to take their scans, but the quality of the scan photos was impacted. In order to continue serving our ProMonitoring with the most advanced clear aligner technology available, we’ve quickly developed a solution that bridges the gap between these impacted iPhone models and our current ScanBox Pro design.
The ProMonitoring app will take it from here
As a ProMonitoring provider, you need not worry about addressing this with your patients unless you deem it necessary. The ProMonitoring app will automatically alert patients using impacted iPhone models to take their scans to use the provided adapter. The adapter is packed with the patient’s ScanBox Pro and clearly labeled to minimize any potential confusion.
A snappy replacement
When your patient is ready to scan, the ProMonitoring app will alert them if their smartphone requires the provided adapter. The app will show them simple instructions for attaching the adapter to their ScanBox Pro. The process can be completed in a matter of seconds.
Need more adapters?
You may have patients who are already in treatment who require an adapter for their ScanBox Pro. You may also find that some of your patients have lost or broken their adapters. If these circumstances occur, you can order replacement adapters and replacement ScanBox Pro devices at any time by contacting ProMonitoring customer support.
